If you have the same symptoms as me then probably you are an easily distracted person.

Here a list of symptoms for you to check yourself.

1. Easily click on a link while you are doing work, then come back to your work after you realise you have wasted more than 30 minutes which you have regretted wasting or didn’t even realise it.
2. Chatting with many friends online at one time leaving your work undone.
3. Tends to leave a lot of windows open at one time while doing your work.
4. Start to surf net to see what are the latest movies.
5. Feel that you should relax for a while every time you start to work on your business.
6. Always think you have a lot of time left to complete your work while you actually have barely enough.

Distraction is probably my number one killer of my own time. I often waste a lot of productive time being lead by the nose to look out for profitable ideas or opportunities. I subscribed to many lists whenever they promised me a free report or an ecourse or just a tip. Sometimes I subscribed to people list just to spy on their marketing strategies. This may be useful if you are looking to learn how to promote from other people in your niche.

To be successful, I must get rid of my bad habits above and here is my own checklist to help me prevent myself from beign distracted. You can follow them too.

1. Do everything you have to do first before you even start to check your mails.
2. Remember the power of ONE. Do ONE thing at a time. Close all the windows when you do not need them so you won’t have the tendency to click on them.
3. Focus on your niche and read thing that you know that is beneficial to your business while discarding everything else.
4. Have a timetable so you can be disciplined enough to do all what you are required to do and finish them on time.
5. Lastly, whenever you start any promotion, have a timeline so you can better manage your campaign and try to finish everything you need to do on schedule.

Time is money and let us save our time for more important things.

This story is about the people who not just wants the fish, but wants it cooked and served with wine. Oh my god! This will surely boost your conversions if you can cater to this group of people.

People are lazy by nature and only want instant solutions. Oops. Do you belong to this group of people too? I believe that you might have heard this from other gurus. I have heard it many times from Ewen but have not truly applied it. Now, I am gonna read it again to grasp the key concepts to apply them to my online business which I have overlooked in the past. Fortunately with an internet business, I am able to earn money even when I am undergoing all the tough training. Sometimes my buddies thought I was crazy to smile to myself after all the tough training. But who can imagine the excited feeling of seeing cash in my clickbank account after a day of hard work. Those who have earn money online will understand my feelings.

Once you have decided on the route to take, TAKE ACTIONS! I find that is the most important step to take. Start to plan how you are go about carrying out the plan and execute it immediately. Because most likely if you were to leave it alone for a few days, you are going to abandon it for a long long time.

I remembered when I attended the world internet summit last year, most of the internet marketers told us to experiment on practically everything which we can change. Whether it is a sale page, or the layout of the blog or the keywords we bid at Adwords. All these can be tweaked and changing any of these can help us with our conversion rates. But, how are you going to tweak your system if you havent even set up one?

Now, I am starting to understand what they meant, but have you?

I remembered the Robert Kiyosaki mentioned in his book, Rich Dad Poor Dad, that if you are just trading time for money, there is always a limit. Hence, how do you expect your wealth to grow, especially when you stop working for money? I have a colleague who likes to complain. He will say that the standard of living here is very high and etc etc. But he does nothing to improve his situation but continues to come to work everyday, in the same company, since he graduated from school. Yet, he didnt even make an effort to either change jobs or find more sources of income.

The point I wanted to make is that if you are just complaining about your plight, it will not do you any good. Instead, I believe that action speaks louder than words. Hence, we should do something to improve the situation. If we find that we are not earning enough from our jobs, then find ways to earn more. Be it from internet marketing, or investing in bonds or shares. If we allow ourselves just work on our job, then be prepared to receive the one and only pay checks from our company. But if we are daring enough to step out of our comfort zones and venture to something else, then you might find yourself to another source of income.

The important fact is that we should take action! And not just complaining..

Yes! You may have no choice but to buy it. However, you do have a choice to whether you will apply the techniques taught in the ebook. What I want to tell you today is that you must apply what you learn and get your hands dirty if you have bought it.

Take action else nothing will happen.

A technique no matter how good it is will not produce any results if you did not even attempt to apply it. I guess this has happen to many people as well as me. I had bought many ebooks but I really did not have time to read all of them. So now, I really make sure that I will read the ebook immediately after purchasing it and apply the techniques taught immediately. Else it make no sense to buy it at all since you are going to chuck it away.

Always remember that “money loves speed.”

The faster you work, the more you can achieve, and the faster the money will flock to your bank account. Have you ever experience yourself actually accomplishing more when you decided to work a bit faster?

Implement speed into your business and you will save a lot of time from procrastination and see great improvement in your results.

So do challenge yourself to work faster everyday. If you have bought djk, apply the techniques immediately to see that it really works. Else if someone does it first, you will be suffering damage as though you didn’t buy it in the first place.

1. Keep in contact with as many of your affiliates as possible, consistently.

You wouldnt want to neglect your affiliates, since they are helping you to promote your products. Try to keep in contact with them as much as possible. Take note of who are the ones who are performing and who are not. In this way, you can encourage those who have done well to do better, and those who dont, you might want to ask what is hindering them from performing. Perhaps you may want to send an email with their username and password, to remind them to login and check their stats. Also, remember to update your affiliates with the latest news on your products to enable them to sell better.

2. Be creative with your marketing tools for your affiliates

It is not exciting at all to have only some text links and standard banners for your affiliates anymore. Try to be more creative with your marketing tools. Think of catchy banners with different shapes and sizes, sales letters and reviews. However, do make sure that you keep it simple and easy to use for your affiliates. You will not want them to get frustrated with your tools and finally give up with it. Also, provide them with the latest materials and listen feedbacks from them. After all, they are the ones who are in contact with the customers, besides you.

3. Hold meetings for your affiliates who are not doing so well

Yes, make the effort to meet up with your affiliates who are not doing as well as others. You might want to have a virtual meeting over the net or just a teleconference regularly. In this way, you can answer whatever questions they post to you, straight away. Also, you can get motivational speakers to talk to them. In this way, your affiliates will be more motivated to sell for you, because you do bother to meet up with them.

4. Reward your high performing affiliates

Lastly, remember that the carrot is still a very effective method to motivate your affiliates. Besides just giving a percentage of the sales price, you can reward the top affiliate additional bonuses. It can be in terms of money or a higher percentage of commissions.

Whatever method you use, remember to do whatever you can to help your affiliates to succeed. Because if they are making money, you are making money as well.

Indeed, the mind is an extremely powerful weapon. Many times we think that we cannot make achieve some targets and in the end we will get very restless and unmotivated to move towards our goals and aims. Eventually, when we really cannot reach our goals, we will be disappointed and just believe that it is our fate that we failed or we are just plain unlucky. However, the actual fact is that we have already lost half the battle when we believe that we cannot make it, right in the beginning! Just imagine, when you are the leader of an army and you are about to lead in a war, will you tell your soldiers that you all will be going to die? NO! You will be telling your soldiers that they have prepared and practised hard enough and they will be tasting victory at the end of the day. Similarly, your brain is like the leader of an army. You will have to condition your mind to tell yourself that you will succeed in the end.

Though we used to say birds of the same feather, flock together, do we really think deep into it? To me, I find that it is so true. People who have shared visions will usually get together. They will tend to encourage each other, or at least spur each other on. At least for myself, when I read on other internet marketers’ blogs/website, I will be motivated to continue to work hard.

Hence, remember to:

1. Condition your mind that you will succeed in the end.

2. Continue to be motivated in whatever you do.

• Do not promote many affiliate products at one go! Multiple sources of income is not always applicable in promoting many products.
• Do not go into many businesses at one go. You will waste too much time and get only mediocre results or worse, no results at all.
• Do not think of just making money, though money may be your only motivation to start an online business.
• Do not leave your ebooks collecting dust in your hard disk. Follow the advices in it and you will reap your rewards.
• Do not waste time learning things which distracts you and doesn’t help at all in your business. Remember that focus is the key to success.

Things to do!

• Concentrate on building up your brand name first.
• Concentrate on building one core business. Avoid jumping ship when a better offer comes though the temptation may be strong.
• Learn more about any product before you start marketing it. You do not want to recommend something which is of little value to your customers.
• Think long term and you stay in business for a long time. You earn respect and reputation if you keep producing good content. Your subscribers will come to trust you and follow your every advice.
• Always evolve by constantly learning new things which help in your business.

I have attended the World Internet Summit Singapore (WIS) last year and before that, I have the idea that there is something secret which are being shared to attendees only. There are many products given to us which we can sell to kickstart our internet marketing business immediately to earn money. And so I went to WIS with high hope that I can fire my boss immediately. I don’t have anything against my boss because he has treated me very well. I just thought that having a own business would do more good for me.

And so my partner and I went to buy the tickets for the WIS and went there happily with ambitions. In the event itself, then I realised that my thinking was way wrong. The main purpose of all these summit is to gain more exposure to what other people are doing and to get more contacts. What is this all about? Guess the WIS is the place for us to get contacts with wannabes internet marketers so we may have a chance for JV in the future. But there is something we couldn’t have gain if we were not there.

That is the many life changing concepts being taught at the summit. And we get to hear it from the horse mouth. This is what make it worthwhile to attend any summit. One thing for sure, the secret we learnt is that we must have the correct mindset to succeed in any business.
