Yes, one of the most direct method to get people to sign up your list is to use AdWords to drive traffic to your optin page. Only when you have large amount of traffic to your optin page, you can then attract them to sign up your list by giving your free newsletters and reports. Also, AdWords is one of the few methods which you can target the “types” subscribers to your list, because you can only target on people who search for certain keywords. Then these group of people can see your ads and sign up for your list Continue reading →

I came across various methods on how to build a list. Since having a list of subscribers is vital for all internet marketers, many people are struggling to build up their own list. Some people will advice to offer a free newsletter from your website to build up your list, while others will suggest to write a free report or ebook to entice visitors to optin to your list. For any methods which most people suggest, that offer you give in return for the subscriber’s contact must be true and compelling offers.

Some people may find that by giving free reports, ebooks or newsletters are effective in list building. In a way, it is true as the beginner can easily buy private label rights and modify the articles and give it to his subscribers. However, such methods takes time and money to take effect too. Why? If you have such good offer for your potential subscribers, yet you only find that there are only a few visitors to your websites. Do you think you can entice them and build up a large list? Also, these methods are useful when the beginner has knowledge on SEO to attract traffic to his optin page to build his list. Then again, if he is that good, he wouldn’t be a beginner, right?

Hence, I am telling you that there is another method to build up your list, even if you are a beginner and you don’t even know anything on SEO…

Then these group of people can see your ads and sign up for your list.

Of course, there are a group of people who thinks that AdWords is very dangerous, especially for beginners in Internet Marketing. However, I will like to ask, if you always to worried that you will burnt a big hole in your pocket, then when will you learn how to use AdWords, without getting burnt? This is especially the case when you don’t even attempt to try using it. Hence, if you are so worried, then you will never learn from your lessons. Besides, if you are really that worried, I have a few suggestions for you.

1. Always limit your budget for each AdWords campaign.

2. Try out on smaller search engines first, then move on to AdWords.

3. Use targeted keywords

Hence, don’t you think that AdWords is really a good method to drive traffic to build a list?

Have you ever wondered why are you paying so much for you AdWords campaigns, yet earning so little profits?

Though you might be earning money now, simply by using AdWords to drive traffic to your affiliate merchant’s webpage, wouldn’t you love to earn more by lowering down your advertising fees? Yes, today I will be telling you that there are ways to lower down your AdWords campaign costs. They are simple and easy to follow. Once you understand the simple logic behind this giant search engine, Google, then Beating AdWords is as easy as ABC.

Let us see some of the methods and logic behind to Beat AdWords…

Who does Google Value Most? The Advertiser or the “User” (why?)Â

I’m sorry, but I have to say it is the users whom Google value most. Though the Advertisers are paying Google the money, Google believes that the users are more important to them, as they are the ones who will click on the ads. If they do not click on the ads, Advertisers will not advertise in their search engine in the first place. Hence, even if some of the Advertisers stop advertising, there will still be Advertisers advertising, as long as there are users clicking on the ads.

Which Copy is Better: Short or Long Copy?

This is to avoid the reviewer from associating your landing page with scams. As these reviewers may not be familiar with the long sales copy marketing techniques, they tend to think that long copies as scams. Hence, do try to make the landing page more like a pre-sell letter or a squeeze page, rather than the actual sale copy itself.

Lately, there are quite a bit of buzz in using Adwords or PPC in general. We have heard so much advantages in using Adwords to help us in advertising our products or even helping us to advertise for the products which we are affiliates of. However, aren’t we feeling the heartache when we are unable to make a single cent after paying a considerable sum of money on advertising already? Well, we have heard there is this simple trick which we dont even need to pay, yet able to make use of establish PPC systems such as Adwords, Yahoo! Publisher and etc.

Well, that is great if it is true. Because with this small amount of money, we are able to make use of the full potential of the systems. That is really worth it. But how true this is, we are still not sure. But I am thinking, if this is true, and you believe it, then you better strike fast and grab it. Since the person selling this, says that it is quite simple and can be used across all the PPC systems.

Perhaps, it is a loophole or just a marketing technique. If it is a loophole, then I will suggest that those people who bought it, better use it fast as PPC systems will be very efficient to cover the loophole soon. If it is a technique, then I suppose it is really worth the investment.

Honestly, we didnt buy as we are giving ourselves a chance to think of the solution ourselves. But if you have tips on how to do it, we dont mind if you want to share it with us. Thanks in advance.

I have finally understand why the internet marketing gurus always asked us to experiment and try to tweak whatever we can to get the best results. It can be our ads, our layout of the blog, the keywords which we used, whatever. But continuing from my previous post, I am still testing out with Google’s Adwords. Sometimes, it just makes me so excited to tweak with it and explore the settings. (Oops, make me sound like a geek..) See what I have been doing..

Like what I have mentioned, Adwords has this tab called the Analytics which is very useful for me.

1. Geo May Overlay

For once, I realised that there are so many countries which I didnt know of. I guess that’s the reason that so many people from other countries do not know Singapore as well. Anyway, this is a useful map as it gives you an idea where are all the clicks coming from. If you see that clicks are coming from a particular region, perhaps it is best to change your marketing strategies to suit that market group, since the clicks are so focus.

2. Visit by Source

To me, I think this is useful to track where is the bulk of the traffic is coming from. From there, you can see if you want to be more aggressive in your campaign or you will like to concentrate on other sources so that you can build up traffic from those sources.

Hope these 2 tips are useful.

Not too sure if everyone here uses pay per click (or PPC in short). But recently, I started to make use of PPC, in particular Google Adwords. Since I read so much about the “goodness” of using PPC to advertise products, I decided to try it out myself. Though I am seeing some positive results, I am shocked by the amount which I have to pay for the ads. Hence, here are some pointers which I will like to share with you all.

Â

1. Limit your daily budget

I was totally shocked to see the amount which I have to pay after my ads were out for only 1 day! OMG. Anyway, on the brighter side, my site do have a lot of visitors, which is good. But if you do not have a strong heart like me, then it is best to set a limit to your daily budget for your campaign. In this way, you will not get a shock at the end of the day. I am not too sure with other PPC programs but Adwords will just help give you constant exposure to your customers, if you dont limit them. There are good and bad, depends on you eventually.

Â

2. Check your campaign at least once a day

I am not say you should sit in front of the computer and stare at your campaign for the whole day. But just check it out once per day to see any fluctuations so that you are able to react to it. Perhaps, you might have some new keywords which you might want to add in or you might notice some thing new in the program itself, which you can tweak to help in your campaign. As the saying goes, you learn new things everyday.

Â

3. Analyse your results

When you check out on your PPC account, do take a look at the reports generated. For instance, Google Adwords has this tab called Analytics. I find it useful as it has reports of the locations of the people who click your ads, the number of visits to your designated website and etc. In a way, you dont even need to purchase any software and code your link so that you can track all the details. Adwords does help you with this.

Â

Hence, with these 3 tips which I have gathered from my experience, hope you will find them useful.

In this post, we will be discussing some pay per click (PPC) techniques to get some instant targeted traffic for our affiliate campaigns.

If you are trying to promote an affiliate products, and you desire some instant traffic to test out whether the product you are promoting has a high conversion rate, it is best to use PPC.

With PPC, it is the fastest way to get your targeted traffic for testing. Unlike other ways of traffic generation, you can control the type of traffic you want to improve your conversion.

Though the disadvantage is that the traffic stops once you stop paying, I guess it is better than wasting your time to optimize your website to get a top position in the search engine result page. To me, time is money and it is an impossibility for your one page optin page to dominate the rankings unless you use some black hat techniques. To side track a little, I guess there is nothing wrong to use a bit of black hat methods as long as it is not of bad intent. I guess some of us may be using it unknowingly until they find out that their website are banned by the search engines or their top position disappeared the next day.

With PPC, you can fine tune your targeted traffic to make sure your campaign is having a good conversion rate by using demographic testing.

1) Location targeting

If you are selling some Ebay products, you may like to test out whether a certain region of people respond better to your offers.

2) Site targeting

If you find some high traffic content websites publishing content which is of the same nature of the product you are trying to promote or sell, you may also steal traffic from that website to improve your conversion rate since some of the preselling is done by the content website.

3) Language targeting

If you like to promote a certain product to a certain ethnic groups, it is best to display ads that they understand to improve conversion. It is not nice to waste your click on people who understand the language of your ads. This is not much of a test unless you want to guage the literacy level of your viewers.

Do you look out for ads which are blended well with the content of the website to avoid clicking on them? Have you ever click on ads unknowingly until you realise you are divert to another website? This has happened to me many times and it is certainly not a good experience.

According to ClickForensics, the industry click fraud rate has climbed to the year’s highest level of 14.2%. In my opinion, I believe this may be due to the increasing number of websites which contains mostly ads but with no real content. These websites provide visitors with misleading information cheating money out of advertisers. At this rate we are going, the death of adsense may be slowly manifesting itself.

According to the report, the amount of click fraud rate for affiliate sites was significantly higher than the industry average. I believe this will be worse for niche markets. This is not good news for affiliate marketers who depends on PPC to drive traffic to their website because they will be spending much more money to bring the visitors to their site. This also affects conversion rate as most of the visitors are sent to the site by mistake.

Hopefully that the people involved in click fraud will come to their sense as this click fraud is not doing any good for everyone. There ought to be a better way to earn money!

Hope that this also serves as a wake up call to those who only depend on PPC to drive traffic. It is time to consider other methods to drive traffic as I believe click fraud is not going away easily in the near future.
