Although I may have introduced AWeber to you first, I confess that I am using GetResponse instead. Also I know you’re busy but I just had to give you this quick tip on how to make more sales.

It amazes me on how many people just “don’t get it” when it comes to following up with potential customers.

Did you know that it can take up to 7 times contacting someone before they purchase a product - it’s true!  But again, there are a growing number of people out there that are trying to make sales without doing something as simple as setting their marketing on auto-pilot.

Thankfully there’s an online service that provides anyone with the kind of marketing system they need that can almost guarantee success. And one that I can whole-heartedly recommend!

GetResponse.com is one of the most recognized follow-up systems on the Internet; and there’s good reason.

GetResponse.com uses some of the fastest and most reliable email servers available.  This, combined with more specialized features that any other autoresponder, is it any wonder everyone raves about it?

But… despite how good GetResponse.com is, it just got better! That’s right, the new Smart Responder Pro 2005 has just been launched and it has an incredible number of powerfully new features.

Just take a look at what you get with Smart Responder 2005!

- Personalization of emails
- Unlimited follow-ups
- Complete import and export features
- Send a broadcast email to your entire list all in one shot
- Attach files to any or all of your autoresponses

- Send HTML-enhanced messages
- Your own “confirmation” screen
- Selective broadcasting
- Block unwanted email addresses

- much, much more!

As you can see, this is way more than your everyday run-of- the-mill autoresponder systems - using any other just doesn’t make good business sense!

So what are you waiting for?  You owe it to yourself and your online business to at least take a look at what GetResponse.com can do for you.

You REALLY Need This!

I just came back from an Internet Marketing seminar just now and I found out some of the things we really need to do Internet Marketing. In fact, I am quite ashamed that I didnt take action to do it.   One of it is to get autoresponder. I hesitated to get it due to the monthly payment for their service. I mean, since most of us are still learning to do internet marketing. It can really be a pain to pay for something which we dont know if it is useful and it works. Hence, I went around searching for freebies. Yes, you might think I am cheapskate, but who cares. Anyway, I happened to find the demo version of AWeber. For those who are familiar with autoresponder already. Then you should be quite familiar with AWeber.

How to Building a Website

Important Keywords: , , ,

To: All those who have yet to build a website

Dont worry that it is very difficult to get a website done. Because I have just done it. Yes! If I can do it, you can also do it. Surprisingly, it is quite fun and easy to do it. Actually the most difficult part is to get the layout done and write the content of the website. All the linkings and all the rest can be quite easily done. Hence, I dont think there is a need to outsource it. (This will save you abit of money. Hee!)

Anyway, all you need to have is to get the Microsoft FrontPage. What I heard from the speakers from the Internet Summit is that this software can be downloaded from the Microsoft website. Hence you all can give it a try and start doing your website!!!

In fact, when you get the hang of it, it is actually quite fun and easy. You can just let your imagination run wild. I feel like I start to like designing websites now. Hahaha.. I think my partner must be thinking I am going crazy. The fact is I am not. He is more geeky than me. He is even editing the codes. Think he is the one who is crazy.

Anyway, for those who are new to designing website, these are some pointers which I will like to share with you.

1. Dont be too over whelmed by the codes. Just ignore it, especially if you are the programmers type, cos like what I mentioned earlier, 80-20 rule. Do whatever which is important to your business. Just get something on the site FIRST!!! Like what Tom Hua said in the summit, “I dont care if your website is ugly or not, just make sure you have something on it.”

2. Do not put too many flash programmes on the website. Most likely people will be too irritated by it, especially if you have them before entering your website. High chances that people will either skip the Flash or exit from your website.

3. Get right to the point. In the age of the internet, everyone is moving very fast. In fact, in every 7 seconds, a new blog is born. This is the rate of “birth” of website on the internet. Hence, you can imagine how difficult to get people to see your website and look through what you have to say. Hence, just get the point straight.

For today, I will just stop here because I am going into reading my newly bought ebook. If you dont mind, you can send me your website and we can discuss how can we improve your website and exchange ideas, AT NO COST, cos I am so interested into designing a great website. Hence, dont worry. Just drop me a mail at chee.jasmine@gmail.com

Happy Web Designing!

Firstly, I thank all those who read my blog.

Secondly, I want to give special thanks to those who left me a note/comment. They really motivate me to go on. Also, I wish you the best on your success on Internet Marketing.

One of the comments I have gotten on my previous post is that, “why are we so silly to spend thousands of dollars to go to a summit, conference or even buying ebooks?” Isnt there THE INTERNET to help us to find all the information which we need?

Well, this is my stand.

Scenerio 1

You are very hardworking and do research on the internet every day and night for one year. Finally you are making $100 every month.

Scenerio 2

You are new to the market and you decide to buy some packages or ebooks to help you to pick up the skills faster. Perhaps, some of the ebooks give you ideas on how to progress faster, or even links to where you can find cheaper stuffs. In the end, you spend less time on it and you are earning $50 at the end of the first month.

So from these two scenerios, isnt it better to get some help from those who have gone through the process and aid you in getting the right skills faster? In fact, if we can have some instant “feedbacks”, this will motivate us further to carry on with it.

Like what we did in our school days, we will also buy extra materials to help us to master the subject fast. Similarly, we can study on our own or buy some guide books to help us. In fact, some of our classmates may even buy some “secrets” study guides which help them to study faster, or even hiring tutors.

Hence, what is that thousand plus if you can see there is a potential to earn back tens of thousands, or hundreds of thousands, or even millions?

A Motivational Post

Important Keywords: ,

After writing a few nights of informative posts, I have decided to write something different tonight. I am going to write some thing to motivate myself and those who are doing internet marketing, both full time or part time.

Those who are doing it full time,

Never give up, Never give up, Never give up.

Those who are doing it part time,

Never give up, Never give up, Never give up.

To myself,

Never give up, Never give up, Never give up.

I know it might sound crappy to you, but the fact that we dont give up, gives us a chance that we will succeed in the end. Though we might not know when but the moment we give up before we succeed, we have gave up the chance already. Hence, no matter how difficult, no matter how tiring, we all just have to continue and work our way to success.

Do Something!

Important Keywords: , ,

How many of us have actually done something after attending seminars and courses?

If you truely done something, give yourself a pat on your back. You have done something which most of the people didnt. That is ACTION.

Everyone knows that action speaks louder than words. However, not many actually use action to “speak”. Instead, they are just complaining day in day out. They always say they have no time for this, no time for that. Just think about your school days. When your exam is on the next day, will you actually say you have no time to study? You will just force yourself to do anything just to study more. You will just eat while you studying. Drink while you studying. In fact, some even go to the loo with their books in their hands. This shows that everything is possible. It is just dependent on whether you want to do it or not.

Take myself for example. I know that it is very tiring every night to log on to the web and do research and blog. But I just have to train myself until it becomes second nature to me. Once, that’s the case, then it will be easy.

Perhaps the first step is difficult but you just have to try, because if you dont, you will never succeed.

Hence, please motivate yourself and take the very first step. Thrust me, the following steps will be easier.

Are you sadden that your website is lacked of traffic after so much hard work being put into creating a wonderful website, an ideal product and a well-written sales letter? Well, do not be disheartened. You have did a great job to get everything done, except for the traffic. Hence, you went on to find how to get the traffic and got all muddled up with all these keywords: SEO. Keywords. Metatags. Metadescriptions. Spiders. Robots.

Finally you got all overwhelmed by them and decided to give up. But dont be, because here is a quick glossary and the reason why you don’t have to worry about these words if you know a couple of web secrets.

- Metatags - Words embedded in your web page that tell viewers and search engine automatons about the content on your page.

- Metadescriptions - Same as metatags, but in sentence form, and with the possibility of being used on search engines as your site description.

- Keywords - The words you use in your metas and in the text on your page to describe your product or service.

- Spiders or Robots - miniprograms or automations sent out to automatically browse the Web by search engines, they catalog your site by keywords.

- SEO - Search Engine Optimization, this means your site has the appropriate keywords and structure to be properly cataloged by those spiders and robots.

However, this information isn’t really important. Metas were created in the early days of the search engines. They are not really powerful so that your content can be properly referenced by the search engines. Hence, in the past, some of the webmasters tried to “tricked” the search engines by loading up the metas with keywords that were popular so that their pages will rank well, without coming up with useful content. This is called search engine spam.

Therefore, spiders today do not pay much attention to the metas. They look out for keywords in the content. It will not be long before they can tell whether your site is actually sensible. Hence, they also look out for web pages which are frequently updated.

Interestingly, your customers are looking for good content as well. One simple little trick can satisfy both of them inexpensively.

Good articles containing information about your product or service, rotated regularly.

What is your NAME?

Important Keywords:

Having the right name for your business is so important?

Why? Because it represents your business, your first impression to your customers, your company’s selling point, your everything!!! (Have I make myself clear?)

Since a name is so important, it is crucial to choose a good name for your business. Here are some tips on how you can choose a name:

  1.  Pick a name which says something about yourself and your business that your target audience will remember easily. For example, you can use your last name, followed by what you do. Like, Chee’s Car Rental or Sommerfeldt’s Plumbing. You might even want to throw in where you live in to the name like Sommerfeldt’s Chillie Land Plumbing. You can also leave out your name and simply become Chillie Land Car Rental. This will help you target your local area and sound like the first choice locally.
  2.

  3. If you are dealing with business which requires you to be more corperate and professional, you might want to have a name which protrays that. You can try to think of a name which still describe your business, but you might want to add the word “Consulting” behind.
  4.

  5. On the other hand, if you are doing something less formal or a trendier market, you may want to name your business after an animal, and use that animal in your logo too. That is a good way to start branding your business especially when your marketing budget is tight. For example take Geico. They use that gecko lizard on everything. What do you remember when you think of car insurance?
  6.

  7. Try acronyms. Take two or three words that describe your business then shorten them to make it one word. So you end up with IHOP (International House of Pancakes) this is a great way to express what you do without having long hard to remember name.
  8.

  9. Lastly, if all fails, just play with your words until you come up with a name that sounds nice and right. The best part is it will be completely unique to your business only!

Once you have a few names picked out make sure you check to make sure no one else is using them. You don’t want to get your business started then find out that the name you want is taken.

Hope that’s helpful to you!

Are you being captivated by the heading?

If you are, that’s normal. If you are not, then you must be a weirdo.. Oops.. Not that I like to offend the minorities. But the fact is more than 80% of the people are being attracted by the headings!!!

Hence, when you are doing internet marking, a captivating headline is essential. That is the least which you can do to ensure that you can catch hold of your readers’ attention. I mean, so what if your sales letter is so well writen, while your potiential customers are unmotived to continue reading about your product? That will be a complete waste of time!

If you are unsure of how to do that, perhaps you can buy some ebooks from the copywriting gurus, Brett McFall and Jo Han Mok and etc. You will definitely learnt up a trick or two from them. Then once you pick up the skills to write a great headlines, you can be sure that more audience will continue to read on what you have to say.

However, lazy people like us who just want to have results fast and are unmotivated to learn the skills, then I suggest that you can get professional, e.g from elance, to write your headings. In fact, if you have a terrific product to market, why dont you spend some time to get a great headling and sales letter?

Dont let the sales just slips by and have fun.

Let me share with you some stories which I hear from the speakers at the World Internet Summit for the next few days. (Cos I might be too tired to type out all the stories at one go. So if you like me to tell you the stories, do leave a note to encourage me to continue writing. Thanks :)

First, from my favourite speaker, Mr Brett McFall. As I mentioned earlier, he is a funny man. The actions which he made make me feel that he is very charming. You should go and see him present. That aside, he have also a sad story to tell.

He was actually employed by a company, until one day, the boss told him that the company didnt need him anymore. That night, he drove home. That journey back was so long and arduous. He felt so lonely.

While driving back, Brett decided that he must take charge of his life and not let others decide his destiny. Not his boss, or anyone, but HE, himself, who can take charge of his own life. From then on, he went into copywriting. Though it wasnt smooth sailing at the beginning, he never gave up. After much tries, he finally succeeded!

Now, he goes round to give presentations to help people in their copywriting skills. He is such a good speaker that I will always remember not to give up, until I succeed.

Remember, my friends…

Never give up!

Never give up!

Never give up!

Ps: I will be writing on Tom Hua, the King of Ebooks, next. Please leave some comments if you like me to continue writing about this. Thanks.
