It is so easy today to create an affiliate program for your products with today’s technology and help. But in actual fact, are your affiliates working hard enough to help you sell your products? With so many products out in the market which are fighting for your affiliates’ attention and time, you will have to put in more effort to help and motivate your affiliates to sell your products. At the end of the day, when your affiliates make money, you make money too. Let’s see what can you do to keep your affiliates motivated.

1. Keep in contact with as many of your affiliates as possible, consistently.
You wouldnt want to neglect your affiliates, since they are helping you to promote your products. Try to keep in contact with them as much as possible. Take note of who are the ones who are performing and who are not. In this way, you can encourage those who have done well to do better, and those who dont, you might want to ask what is hindering them from performing. Perhaps you may want to send an email with their username and password, to remind them to login and check their stats. Also, remember to update your affiliates with the latest news on your products to enable them to sell better.
2. Be creative with your marketing tools for your affiliates
It is not exciting at all to have only some text links and standard banners for your affiliates anymore. Try to be more creative with your marketing tools. Think of catchy banners with different shapes and sizes, sales letters and reviews. However, do make sure that you keep it simple and easy to use for your affiliates. You will not want them to get frustrated with your tools and finally give up with it. Also, provide them with the latest materials and listen feedbacks from them. After all, they are the ones who are in contact with the customers, besides you.
3. Hold meetings for your affiliates who are not doing so well
Yes, make the effort to meet up with your affiliates who are not doing as well as others. You might want to have a virtual meeting over the net or just a teleconference regularly. In this way, you can answer whatever questions they post to you, straight away. Also, you can get motivational speakers to talk to them. In this way, your affiliates will be more motivated to sell for you, because you do bother to meet up with them.
4. Reward your high performing affiliates
Lastly, remember that the carrot is still a very effective method to motivate your affiliates. Besides just giving a percentage of the sales price, you can reward the top affiliate additional bonuses. It can be in terms of money or a higher percentage of commissions.
Whatever method you use, remember to do whatever you can to help your affiliates to succeed. Because if they are making money, you are making money as well.
