It has been one day after the summit. I wonder if anyone has started his/her journey to “go on stage for next year.” Well, I hope everyone is working hard and achieve this aim. Everyone is so inspired by the speakers. At the end of the world internet summit, my partner and I managed to take a few photos with the speakers. Here are some of the photos taken:

That’s me at the conference hall. Very big, isnt it? Actually, it is filled with participants. However, you do not see them now because they have went out to have a break and interact with one another. I was quite surprised that there were so many people attending the summit. In fact, from the CEO of the organiser (Success Resource), there are about 1000+ people attending the summit. What an event! That’s me again but this time, I am at the stage. Notice there are quite a number of flags above? That’s because the speakers went to different countries to share their ideas on internet marketing. I really enjoyed their presentations. They are really great people.

This is me and Brett McFall. He is my favourite. He is humourous and delievers well. I like his BURBIES concept. Makes it so easy for me to remember for copywriting. I think he is really good in copywriting. In fact, he is so generous as to give use pointers on how to write good headlines. I find that really useful as > 80% of the readers are being captivated by headlines. This makes me think that we must really put in effort to write a good headline.

After Brett, he is really the next most entertaining speaker, David Cavanagh. He is full of energy when he is presenting, which makes me difficult to sleep during his presentation. Perhaps, he is also very loud when he is speaking. He, too, taught me a lot of new things. For example, “Think desperate to make dollars”. This is really an insight!

Lastly, my partner and I took a photo with our Singapore successful story, Ewen Chia. Ewen is so willingly to share his secrets of success with all the participants. He told everyone that traffic is not everything, especially when you havent even have a product, least a website to start with. He told us the various methods to attract traffic and ways to get materials to write. For example, submitting articles to some websites.

Lastly, though I didnt have a photo with him, I think it is really worth mentioning him. He is Jay Abraham, a really serious man, but brillant person. He offered to have a tele-conference with those who bought packages above $7500. My god, that is really a bargain! I guess I dont need to introduct further cos I am sure you can read more of him on the internet. Anyway, what I learnt from him is that we must do things progressively. (Ah, you must be thinking I am going to write that “Marketing Is The Difference Between Mediocrity and Making Millions” that kind of stuffs, but I am not) Anyway, I really understand from him is that we must be patient and never give up with what we are doing. We have to give ourselves time to succeed. Come on, be realistic. We cant expect that right after the summit, without effort and time spent on it, we can become successful overnight. That is impossible! Even people like Ewen Chia and the rest of the speakers also have to work on it for some time before they succeed. Hence, be patient and make progressive steps towards our goals.

After this 4 days summit, I really excited to apply what I have learnt. Hence, if you really got the chance, do join them in the World Internet Summit 2007. It will be held during Nov again and you should not miss it again.

Tomorrow I’ll be going for the World Internet Summit!!!

 Though most of the people might think my partner and I were crazy to pay $1000++ each to attend this summit, we believe that it is worth it. People who are gurus in this area are all coming to Singapore and gather to give talks. I mean, where do you have the chance to have so many experts to come together at one period of time to talk to you?

 If people are willing to pay thousands to go for holidays, why can they just spend a thousand plus to go for the summit?

Lately, I havent been updating my blog because I have been quite occupied by doing my work and as well as been looking over internet in how to improve my earnings over internet. Yes, I saw some people asking me how to make money over internet. Perhaps, he/she is my friend but glad that someone asked. I’m looking of new way to earn money. It is difficult but luckily, I chanced upon these two gurus, Tom Hua and Brett McFall in internet marketing. If you want to get rich, I guess you must know them. You can easily Google them. No need me to talk any further on them. Anyway, maybe I am quite crazy this week to work. I went to sign up for this WORLD INTERNET SUMMIT.

Since it is held in Singapore and they are giving materials to help me in setting up my own website. (luckily, not in USA or some European countries, if not, I also cannot afford it liao.. haha) So I tot why not? anyway, that price which I am paying will earn me back ten times, or even a hundred times. why not invest in this? in fact, think about it, this course only cost me less than $5.50/day only. What is this $5.50 compared to the amount of money i get in return.. anyway, my transport everyday is already much more than this amount .haha..perhaps, you might think I am joking but I have already joined.

Some of us who are doing Adsense, we are not quite sure how to go about doing things. E.g. how to optimise our website? How to do our layout? Basically, how to approach this business to make a pot of gold out of it?

Well, since we are not sure ourself, it is best that we try to leverage on other’s knowledge and try to apply their techniques. Here, I’ll recommend to join some affiliate programs. Affiliate programs are programs which got people to teach you internet marking techiques. From there, we can make use of those techniques we learnt from the affiliate programs to apply to our website. These people from the programs usually have been in this game for quite some time. Hence, it is better for us not to be too skeptical about it. Though some might be plain B.S., who cares. We can judge for ourselves to see which is suitable for us.

In fact, aside from Adsense, we can also earn some bucks from these programs, especially when you can persuade the readers to buy something out from the affiliate programs.

“Which program is better? Adsense or Yahoo Publisher?”

It sounds simple, but the answer is not.

Adsense has been around for a while and it has the lion’s share of the market in the PPC (Pay Per Click) game. But as more people are promoting them, the payouts will eventually become smaller. Yet, they are not worried about losing to their competitors, as they are still the best game in town.

Next is Yahoo Publisher. Everyone knows it is big and with the purchase of Overture, Yahoo is coming into the game well equipped and ready for a fight.

So what’s the difference?
Yahoo, overall, is paying more per click then Adsense. But before you jump from this article and start changing your code, read on a bit more. Yahoo Publisher seems to be paying more then Adsense on similar content, not nearly as contextually targeted as Adsense. Yahoo Publisher will return ads which are not exactly related to your website or even return ads that does not relate to the content of your website! However, Adsense will not have this “problem”. It will only return ads which are related to your website only.

So there isnt a clear win between the two, but it boils down to the type of site and the people who frequent the site. If you have a site that is highly targeted for a certain keyword, then I would suggest you stay with Adsense. This will keep the ads focused and targeted to your customers, presenting them with content that they will click. However, if your site is more of a surfer hangout, where people go when they are bored, or if your site covers a multitude of topics, then you might be better off loading it up with Yahoo Publisher ads. This type of surfer is more likely to click an ad that’s off topic, which in turn would pay you better.
