I just finished listening to a teleseminar by Ewen Chia.
In that program, he is teaching us how to become a super affiliate. Basically, it is to become his clone and become as successful as him. Well, in that particular call, he mentioned about list building. He said that our list is very important. The amount we earn will very much depends on our list. That is quite true since we heard that many many times from many different gurus. Here’s what he mentioned later, near the end of the call.
Though the list is important, it is also how you use and do with your list. List building is an endless task and most of the marketers will just continue to help to grow their own lists of subscribes. However, Ewen mentioned that while you are growing your subscribers, do not forget old ones. Which is absolutely right. Everyone should continue to engage with his/her subscribes so as to build the bond between the list holder and the subscribers.
Next, he also mentioned about the amount of subscribers, which means how long is your list. He said that doesn’t mean you have a lot subscribers means it is a good thing. The quality of the subscribers is more important than the amount of subscribers. Once in a while, there is a need for the list holder to do some housekeeping. Send an email to gauge how many subscribers are really active subscribers. This is essential as we need targeted and responsive subscribers. If the emails given are not in use of the subscribers are not responsive, then it is best to delete them away. In this way, you will be getting a better group of subscribers and you might have a better conversion rates.
After listening to him, it just struck me that most of the time, we just use ppc to get more people join our list. However, they might be giving a fake email. Hence, it is useful to clean up the list as we will not want to waste energy and effort on non-response subscribers.
